1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information Open Slot collects through its app and website, how it's used, and who it's shared with. It applies to the Open Slot customer app, the studio owner console, and openslot.cc.

2. Information We Collect

  • Phone number — required to sign in, verified by a one-time code (OTP)
  • Optional email — if you choose to add and verify one, e.g. for receipts
  • Name & profile details you add to your account
  • Location — to show nearby studios and the cities you can book in, only while you're using that part of the app
  • Booking & payment history
  • Messages you send through the in-app chat with a studio
  • Device push-notification token — to send booking reminders and alerts
  • Photos you choose to upload, such as a profile photo or a review photo

3. What We Don't Collect Directly

Payments are handled by Razorpay, our payment processor. Open Slot does not receive or store your full card, UPI, or bank account details.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate bookings, send reminders and alerts, process payments and refunds, respond to support requests, improve the app, and prevent fraud or abuse (for example, tracking repeated no-shows).

5. Who We Share It With

  • Razorpay — to process payments and refunds
  • The studio you book with — only what's needed to fulfil that booking, such as your name and session time
  • Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, and privacy-focused analytics on openslot.cc
  • Render — backend hosting for the app
  • Apple (APNs) — delivering push notifications to iOS devices

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, plus whatever additional period is needed for legal, tax, or accounting record-keeping (for example, payment records).

7. Your Choices & Rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by emailing hello@openslot.cc. You can also revoke location or notification permissions at any time from your device settings.

8. Children's Privacy

Open Slot is not directed at, and should not be used by, anyone under 18.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

10. International Transfers

Open Slot is built for creators and studios in India. Some of the infrastructure providers we rely on (such as our hosting and content-delivery providers) operate global infrastructure, which may mean your data is processed outside India as part of delivering their service.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Open Slot evolves. We'll update the effective date above whenever we do.
