1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Open Slot website, mobile app, and related services (together, "Open Slot"). By creating an account or making a booking, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Open Slot.

2. What Open Slot Is

Open Slot is a marketplace that connects creators looking to book creative spaces by the hour with the studios and space owners who list them. Open Slot is not itself a studio, and studio owners are not employees or agents of Open Slot — each listing is run by the owner named on it.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to book on Open Slot.
• Accounts are created and signed into with a phone number verified by a one-time code (OTP) — you're responsible for keeping access to that number secure.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep one account per person.

4. Bookings, Pricing & Payment

Every listing shows its hourly rate upfront — the price you see before booking is the price you pay, with no added negotiation. When you start a booking, the slot is held for a short window (typically a few minutes, shown on screen) so you can complete payment before it's released back to other customers. Payments are processed by Razorpay, our third-party payment processor; all amounts are in Indian Rupees (₹) and include applicable taxes as shown at checkout.

5. Cancellations, No-Shows & Refunds

Cancelling more than 48 hours before your session gets a full refund. Between 24–48 hours before your session, the session fee is refunded minus a cancellation charge (add-ons are always refunded in full). Inside 24 hours, or if you don't show up, the booking isn't refunded. Repeated no-shows may result in your account being limited to prepaid bookings only. 6. Extensions & Changes to a Booking

You can request more time on an active booking directly from the app, charged at the listing's hourly rate for the extra time. Extensions are subject to the next slot on that listing being free, and aren't guaranteed.

7. Studio Owner Responsibilities

If you list a space on Open Slot, you agree to keep your listing accurate (equipment, photos, and availability), to honor bookings you've confirmed, and to respond to enquiries and messages promptly.

8. Reviews & Content

Ratings and reviews should reflect a genuine completed booking. We may remove content that violates these Terms or that we determine to be fake, abusive, or otherwise harmful. By submitting a review, photo, or other content, you grant Open Slot a license to display it within the app and on the website.

9. Prohibited Conduct

• Circumventing Open Slot to complete a booking off-platform in order to avoid fees
• Posting fake reviews or manipulating ratings
• Harassment, fraud, or misrepresenting who you are
• Interfering with the normal operation of the app or website

10. Verification & Trust Signals

ID checks, equipment confirmation, and photo review are good-faith verification steps we take before a listing goes live — they reduce risk but don't guarantee the condition or availability of any specific space at any specific time.

11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Open Slot is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, Open Slot is not liable for the conduct of studio owners or creators, or for the condition of a studio, and our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the booking giving rise to that claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Open Slot against claims arising from your misuse of the service or your violation of these Terms.

13. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, engages in fraud, or repeatedly no-shows on confirmed bookings.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Open Slot evolves. We'll update the effective date above when we do, and continued use of Open Slot after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
